Summary

For this school project, we conducted team-based client meetings to progressively develop a clearer understanding of how real-world client communication and application development processes work. In addition, we designed a database and created an ERD (Entity-Relationship Diagram) to clearly illustrate the structure and relationships between the core components of the application.

Soft Skills

Through this project, we developed important soft skills, such as effectively communicating with clients, gathering and processing feedback, and collaborating within a larger team environment.

Design

To create a design that best matched the client’s vision, we used Figma. This allowed us to collaborate clearly as a team and gave us a direct visual understanding of what the client had in mind.

Database

To design our database, we first created an initial model using ERDLab, which allowed multiple team members to work on the ERD simultaneously. Afterwards, we used StarUML to refine and deliver a fully accurate ERD that is universally readable and adheres to standard modeling conventions.
